The 4th Annual LatinX EdTech Summit and Awards

On June 16, the annual LatinX EdTech Summit recognized eight best-of-the-best teachers from the Borderplex region in El Paso. Elizabeth O’Hara, community relations manager for Texas Gas Service, presented the Texas Gas Service Technology Cultivator award to Ross Robles, a computer science teacher at Fabens High School. Robles teaches robotics, computer science and drone, unmanned flight courses. He has mentored students in numerous competitions and is the Treasurer of Computer Science Teachers Association Paso del Norte.

“I’m proud to represent Texas Gas Service in front of these cutting-edge educators,” O’Hara said.  “They’re shaping our future workforce and it’s important that we support their efforts in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math.”

Safety Celebrations Across Texas

Texas Gas Service received an award from the American Gas Association for surpassing safety metrics five years in a row. Teams across the state celebrated at our offices in Texas.

El Paso Texas Gas Service Employees Participate and Win Big in Local Pride Parade

Texas Gas Service employees in El Paso took home a huge recognition at this year’s EP Sun City Pride parade. We earned the “Biggest and Best Employee Turnout Award” with nearly 60 employees participating!

“I am overwhelmed with the support that we received from coworkers, family and friends to show the inclusiveness that we foster at Texas Gas Service,” said ONE Pride local chair, Rae Hidalgo.

This year’s theme was “Get Your Disco On!” which brought out 70s-themed clothing and hairdos for several employees. More than 70 organizations participated in the annual parade which snaked through Downtown El Paso.
